Directions & Parking
From I-77 South
Take I-485 Inner. Exit to the right for Matthews /E. John Street. Continue right into downtown Matthews. The festival will be on your left.
From I-77 North
Take I-485 Outer; Exit to the right for Matthews/E. John Street. Turn left and continue into downtown Matthews.
From I-85 South
Take I-485 Inner toward Matthews. Use same directions as I-77 South above.
From I-85 North
Take I-485 Outer toward Matthews. Use same directions as I-77 North above.
Parking
Free public parking areas are located by the train tracks at North Trade Street/West Charles Street. There is also free lot behind White Duck Taco, off East Charles Street. Matthews Station offers parking in front of and behind Town Hall (across from public parking). Matthews Presbyterian Church offers parking for donations.
There is a very limited number of accessible parking spaces near the footprint this year (6-10). You must have a placard in your vehicle to enter the reserved lots. The parking attendants will direct you if there are available spaces. If those spaces are filled, there are accessible spaces in our Town public parking areas and at adjoining businesses that are closed during festival hours.
No Pets Policy
We love pets, but no pets of any kind are allowed at Matthews Alive Festival per city ordinance. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY.
